About Taylor
Taylor Pendrith, born May 30, 1991, is a Canadian professional golfer.
A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Pendrith attended Kent State University, prior to turning professional in 2014. In 2015, he earned a place on the Web.com Tour as a result of having played mostly on the PGA Tour Canada where he was runner-up three times and finished third in the Order of Merit.
Pendrith is considered as one of PGA Tour’s top 10 best drivers, averaging just over 316 yards off the tee this past season. He is a two-time winner of the 2019 PGA Tour Canada.
In his rookie season, Pendrith qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs in which he finished No. 47 , advancing to the BMW Championship. At the end of the 2020-2021 season, he earned a promotion to the PGA Tour from the Korn Ferry Tour. During the July 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, Pendrith had his best finish of the season as a runner-up.
In September 2022, Pendrith was selected for the International Team in the 2022 Presidents Cup as one of six picks by captain Trevor Immelman, becoming the fifth Canadian to play in the event. Fellow professional golfer and long-time friend of Pendrith’s, Corey Conners, was also selected, marking the first time the squad has featured two Canadian players. During the 2022 season, Pendrith collected three top 10s and made 16 cuts in 21 starts.
Taylor won his first PGA Tour event at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas in May 2024 in dramatic fashion with his wife Meg and son Hayes in attendance! Very exciting for the entire Pendrith family and all of Taylor’s fans!
Outside of golf, he is a fan of hockey and baseball, noting the Toronto Maple Leafs as his favourite hockey team. While in high school, Pendrith was the MVP in baseball and won 2008’s Athlete of the Year. He is married to Megan Pendrith, who works as a registered nurse. The couple welcomed their first child, Hayes Austin Pendrith, in October 2022.
